I’m Mark Jaress, a seasoned professional in Art, Photography and Digital Asset Management with a rich history of innovation and leadership. My career spans significant roles where I’ve been at the forefront of technology and artistry in digital imaging. At the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, I developed and administered a comprehensive Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, enhancing workflow and image quality for various applications.
Before that, I embraced the entrepreneurial spirit as the owner of Zazzu Fine Art Printing, where I mastered art reproduction techniques. My technical prowess was further honed at Cool Hunt Inc., leading as a Technical Lead/Photo Editor, and at Altamira, where I developed pioneering Photoshop plug-ins and set industry standards in digital image scaling.
My journey has been fueled by a lifelong passion for the arts and technology, evident from my early days as a Senior Technical Illustrator at Lockheed and as an educator in computer graphics. I am proud of the recognitions I’ve received, like the Eddy Awards for my contributions to Photoshop’s capabilities and my active role in the Los Angeles Digital Imaging Group.
